Dr. Benton McCune: Senior Research Scientist

Benton McCune recently joined NSI as a Senior Research Scientist. Dr. McCune’s recent research has focused on Computational Economics and Algorithmic Game Theory. He has degrees, peer reviewed publications, and conference presentations in Mathematics and Computer Science. Many of his publications are interdisciplinary and lie in the field of Computational Economics. He also completed graduated coursework in Sociology at Northwestern University with a focus on Historical Sociology and Political Economy. Dr. McCune last worked on a team at the Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University of Iowa developing a Dynamic Process Tracing Environment (DPTE) for researchers in social science, particularly Political Psychology. DPTE was developed in Adobe Flex and Actionscript. Dr. McCune holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Iowa, an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Binghamton University.
