NSI conducted Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) for a counter-narcotics | counter-trafficking program over a huge geographical region of interest containing lots of clutter and little signal, no target patterns that persist, and owning few organic sensors and tactical assets. NSI’s SNA/ONA automatically extracted and related entities from watch-log entries to the associated case or contact movement alert, resolving name variants as required.
NSI conducted Social Network Analysis (SNA) and Organizational Network Analysis (ONA) for an ONR sponsored counter-narcotics and counter-trafficking program. The overarching focus for the effort was to explore and develop novel information processing techniques, use operational data, automate the process of turning counter-narcotics and counter-trafficking data into actionable information, provide an enhanced understanding of the situation, and automate tasking of assets for relevant interdiction missions. The operational environment was over a huge geographical region of interest containing lots of clutter and little signal, no target patterns that persist, and owning few organic sensors and tactical assets. NSI’s SNA/ONA automatically extracted and related entities from watch-log entries to the associated case or contact movement alert, resolving name variants as required.
