Tom Rieger is President of NSI, with over 30 years of experience in studying organizational and consumer behavior. He is recognized as a pioneer in the study and science of organizational barriers, and has consulted on barrier identification and removal for a wide range of organizations in both the private and public sectors. His recent book “Breaking the Fear Barrier” was named by Soundview as one of the best business books of 2011, and also was named one of the five best business books of 2011 by 800-CEO READ. He is an expert in developing statistical models of human behavior, and prior to joining NSI, was a Senior Practice Expert and Strategic Consultant Gallup Inc. where he led global efforts regarding organizational barriers, as well as the chief architect of predictive models of stability and radicalization. Prior to working at Gallup, he designed and ran a global customer measurement program for a Fortune 100 company, and built predictive models for new brands and product concepts. He has consulted extensively in the video game industry, and has provided analytical guidance for numerous major video game titles. He received a Master of Science Degree in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business in 1986.
