Analyst

Nathan Heath is an Analyst at NSI, Inc. He contributes to US Joint Staff Strategic Multilayer Assessment (SMA) research, modeling, and writing in support of US Combatant Commands and Services, such as USAF HQ A3, USAFRICOM, USSTRATCOM, and USEUCOM. Nathan has produced NSI reports on information operations, strategic communications, strategic culture, integrated deterrence, and helped construct complex models of the future operating environment. Nathan received his MA in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, as well as BAs in International Relations and Music from Wheaton College. He has also supported NSI’s commercial initiatives, contributing to decision-making analysis, benchmark analysis, and research for clients in the biotech, gaming, and technology industries, respectively. Prior to joining NSI, Nathan worked in various roles across government, private law, and nonprofit organizations. In addition to his work at NSI, Nathan is a NextGen Initiative Fellow with Foreign Policy for America and a Security Fellow with the Truman National Security Project. His work has appeared in various venues, including War on the RocksInkstick Media, and the 2024 UK Deterrence and Assurance Academic Alliances Conference. In his spare time, Nathan enjoys running, music, (good) coffee, and Premier League soccer.
