Description: NSI hosted a structured workshop to examine the current state of research into violent extremism for the Department of Homeland Security. The event brought together leading experts, policymakers, and academics to discuss the latest findings, identify gaps in knowledge, and explore emerging trends in the field. Discussions focused on understanding the motivations behind radicalization, the role of online platforms in spreading extremist ideologies, and the effectiveness of various counter-extremism strategies. The workshop aimed to foster collaboration and inform future research priorities to better address the complex and evolving threat of violent extremism.
